Hang Out Hot Spot

I think we sometime overlooked one simple purpose that the mall. It is simply a place where you can hang out with your family and friends. Sometime, you don't need to do all those big and exciting things that the mall can offer; you could just walk around the mall and simply hang out.
For me, whenever my friends and I want to hang, the mall would be one of our suggestions. Maybe it's just how teenagers now a day, but they are always at the mall whenever they decided to hang. And when we do hang out, we don't usually do all those activities that the mall has, but we just walk around and talk. It's just a relaxing place where you can just catch up with one another. Plus, there's shopping too so it's a total win-win.
Think of it this way, when one of your friend is looking for a dress for a special occasion; you could tag along and help her pick out her dress and you would get a chance to hang out together too. The Mall of America is huge so there will be plenty of stores where you can go find the perfect dress and get caught up with your friends' lives.
Maybe it's just me and my addiction to shopping, but when ever I'm bored, and don't have any special plan coming up; I would suggest that we go to the mall because we could shop and hang out at the same time. It's true, teenagers love the mall!

Experience the Ocean Inside the Mall

One thing that we often forget it that Mall of America has an underground Aquarium-in fact, it is the largest in the world. The Sea Life Aquarium has a 300 foot ocean tunnel and 30 display tanks that provides close encounters with more than 10,000 sea creatures. Some creatures that you would encounter at Sea Life Aquarium are Green Sea Turtles, Giant Pacific Octopus, Sand Tiger Shark, Cownose Stingray, seahorses, Clownfish, jellyfishes, and many more water creatures.
One activity that you can participate in are at the touch pool. There, you can hold a crab or touch a starfish. You will be awed when a 9 foot Sandtiger Shark as they swim over your head. To enhance your experience at the aquarium, you can do a one hour snorkeling program that gets you close to over 75 types of tropical fish. Not only are you able to see and experience underwater life, you can also learn about what you can do to protect and make our oceans a better place for these animals to live in. 
The entrance is on the east side level 1 of the mall. From there, you would go down the escalator and be greeted by the front desk. So it's easy to find and easy to get to.
I haven't been to Sea Life Aquarium before, but I have been to the Underwater Adventure when it was there before Sea Life. I remember how cool it was to have the different sea creatures swam above my head and how much fun I had. I would definitely go to Sea Life now to see what has been added to the old Underwater Adventure.

Mall of America: Your New Personnal Treadmill

It's November and the weather is getting cooler and cooler; soon your won't be able to do your two miles run every morning anymore. So what do you do to stay fit during those times when there are 4 feet of snow on the ground? Go to the mall and work off those holidays meals! Now how will that work, you may ask? Well you see, the walking distance around one level of the Mall of America is 0.57 of a mile. If you times that by 4, you would get about 2 miles! Now I'm not suggesting that you go sprinting around the mall, but you could possibly get by with power-walking without people looking at your strangely. But hey, take your time! Enjoy window shopping while you do your workout, it's such a win-win! While eying that daring red dress, you know that you're working your way to having a body and would look amazing in that dress.
I'm not just making this up! My friend lives like 7 minutes from the mall and whenever her mom would have some free time, she would go to the mall to do her daily exercise. It just never occurred to me that you could also exercise at the mall until I saw her fast walking inside the Mall of America.
Grab you workout clothes and shoes and go to the Mall of America for some great power-walking! After all, you burn the same amount of calories whether you run or walk the mile.

Celebrities at the Mall of America?

As the largest entertainment complex, the Mall of America host over 400 events. The Best Buy Rotunda is known for entertaining guests by having celebrity appearances, musical performances, charitable initiatives, product lunches, and book signings. Basically, any events that is requires performing is held in the Rotunda. 

The Best Buy Rotunda is a circular open space with a stage if you decided to set one up for your special needs. It is located on the first floor in the east side of the mall. You can see how big it is when there isn't any event happening when you go to the mall. 

In the summer there was this one event that took over the Rotunda for about a week; it's called 'Experience China'. I remember this one part of it that stood out to me most and it was the Kung Fu show. It was pretty awesome because their Kung Fu skills are really strong. They also have other part of experiencing China like live Chinese music. 

In the years that I've been there, some events that stood out to me most were a cheerleading competition, a rubik's cube competition, and many the appearance of the characters from the Twilight Saga. 

In sprite with the holidays, Mall of America will be hosting Photos with Santa on Thursday, November 10th to Saturday, December 24th. Some other events are Michael Birawer artwork signing on Saturday, November 19th, Guy Fieri book signing on Saturday, December 3rd, and Mindless Behavior CD signing on Sunday, December 11th.

I know those people that are coming soon might not be as popular among us, but there are many popular celebrities that do come to the Mall of America too to promote their new books, CDs, films, and many other projects. For example, Zac Efron, Big Time Rush, Britney Spears, Hilary Duff, Sarah Palin and many more recognizable names came to the Mall of America. So if you want to go celebrity sight-seeing, the Rotunda would be a great place to start!

The Thrilling Mall of America

I'm sure we Minnesotans know that there's an amusement park in the middle of Mall of America by now because everyone knows about the mall around here. For those of you who are from out of state and have no idea what this Park at MOA is, let me tell you then! This amusement park is also call Nickelodeon Universe but it is called The Park at MOA for short. It's a seven-acre indoor amusement park in the middle of the Mall of America It was Camp Snoopy until 2008 when Nickelodeon Universe took over and built 44 new attractions and change the names of the existing rides to names of the shows that are on the Nickelodeon.
I love the Nickelodeon Universe because it's right there in the middle of the mall so if I'm feeling like I need some excitment right in this moment; I could just switch over from shopping to riding rides! Plus it's open all year-round because it is indoor so I can still ride on roller costers when there's 20 inches of snow outside. My all-time favorite ride is the Rock Bottom Plunge; it's really thrilling and I love thrilling rides. But don't think that Nickelodeon Universe is only for grown ups; there a bunch of cool rides for kids too.
Even better, I don't have to be riding the rides to feel the excitement in the air. I could just walk around the amusement park and the people's screams will get me all pumped up again. The excitement in the air is electrifying. Also, if I really wanted too, I could take pictures with Nickelodeon characters! Some of the characters that you can meet are Dora and Deigo, Spongebob and Patrick, and Linny and Ming Ming. I know that this is my four years old cousin Natalie's favorite part whenever she goes to the Mall of America.
So get yourself to Mall of America and once you got there definitely check out Nickelodeon Universe, it will be worth your time.
